St Oswald's Hosts Epiphany Messy Church

St Oswald's Hinstock recently hosted an Epiphany themed Messy Church during the School Christmas Holidays.

Led by Rev. Chris, we explored the story of 'The Candle Under The Stairs', based on the theme of coming from darkness to light. This linked to the theme of Epiphany and the Three Kings (Magi), following the star of Bethlehem as they searched for Christ the King. As Christians we choose to follow Jesus's light in our lives today as we search for spiritual fulfillment.

10 children and their parents attended, plus the lay team (which included help and support from Sambrook Church - great to see our benefice churches working together!). The St Oswald's Safeguarding officer was also present.

Activities included making crowns, dressing up in cloaks, making lanterns and making mobiles.

The Children also made their own sandwiches and drinks.
