Update for Benefice Website – Jan 15th

There will be a weekly live service - 10am each Sunday at St Swithun's, Cheswardine
(The church is large and well-ventilated; you will be expected to wear masks and use hand sanitizer on entering and leaving the building. Contact details will be taken for ‘track & trace’ or you can scan the QR-code. The building will be locked before and after the service for quarantining).

 

On-line worship is accessible via our Benefice Website weekly from 10.30am each Sunday

Those who are clinically extremely vulnerable to COVID-19 are discouraged from attending worship but are encouraged to contact the clergy for prayer support.

Childs’ Ercall: 10am – 4pm every Sunday


Hinstock: 10am – 3pm every Thursday


Hales and Stoke on Tern: The church porch is left open for private prayer

You can download the free version of Daily Prayer, which gives the full service for Common Worship Morning and Evening Prayer and Compline – for both Apple and Android, as well as Time to Pray, which is also free https://www.churchofengland.org/prayer-and-worship/join-us-service-daily-prayer

The Church Of England has also launched a free phone line - with prayer, bible reading and hymns. Call 0800 804 8044

For those who enjoy reflection and meditative prayer - Pray As You Go, from the Jesuits, has a  daily Bible Reading with music and reflection. There are also special reflections for this time of “lock-down”  - “Pray as you Stay”, as well as Mental health awareness exercises, Retreat Series, and aids to prayer https://pray-as-you-go.org/home . The App is free to download

BBC Radio 4 (long wave) has a short daily service every morning, 9.45 – 10.00

UCB Christian Radio has music, Bible studies, discussions etc  https://www.ucb.co.uk  - The Word for Today is also available online.

The AMICA Benefice has now launched a Telephone Church Service – phone 01630 410490 to hear a short service and reflection from Rev Rich Clarkson or a member of the Ministry Team – (calls are charged at the local rate).
